Tali Alban focuses her practice on the areas of copyright and trademark counseling, enforcement and litigation, as well as complex business litigation. She has experience in federal trademark, trade dress, and copyright infringement litigation, federal and state unfair competition actions, Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy matters and litigating issues relating to contract law. She regularly counsels clients concerning enforcement of their intellectual property rights.
As part of her commitment to pro bono work, Ms. Alban works with the African Artists' Collaborative and the Filmmakers Association of Nigeria, USA, to register and enforce their copyrights in their members' films. Her work with these groups is part of a larger effort to combat the counterfeiting and piracy of African films in the United States, which in late 2010 led to the seizure of over 10,000 pirated Nigerian-made films in New York City.
